Texas State President Dies in Fatal auto Accident

It is with great sadness we report today, that our Texas State President Ken Starrs, was involved in a fatal auto accident this morning.

We kindly ask for your prayers, while the Starrs family is grieving.

Funeral details will be forthcoming.

*Ken Starrs began his law enforcement career in Indiana in 1975, where he first joined FOP. He moved to Texas as a police officer with the Corpus Christi Police department in 1977. He helped start the local lodge in Corpus Christi in 1987. Corpus Christi Regional Lodge #27 is now one of the oldest lodges in Texas and has 235 members. Ken has served in almost every position at the local level and served as president of the state lodge in 2000. He recently retired from the CCPD after 26 years. He is currently a supervisor with the newly organized Port of Corpus Christi Police Department. Ken Starrs was elected National Trustee in August at the National Conference in New Orleans.
